Ms. Shirley was one of the most real women that I had the honor of meeting, getting to know, and growing to love throughout my years in Greenville. I am grateful to God for allowing our paths to cross. When she spoke to us, she always gave it to us straight with no chaser. Her humor and wit were beyond compare. She will be greatly missed. Meekie, there are no words to express my thankfulness for you and the example of what a daughter and child of God should be like. There are not too many people who would have been able to endure the many tests and trials of the last few years that you have endured yet you have stood strong in your faith. I honor you my Sister❤️

Meekie, I understand the many things you would have faced, for I too watched my mother, up close and personal...as much as I understood that her time on Earth was ending, I also appreciated the bonding, lessons, and memories, God was orchestrating..He knew EXACTLY for He is God, doing whatever He desires, for He doesn't need our permission.. Stay Steadfast in Faith.. As sorrow comes, as it must.. Trust God's Will and Way.. May your family gain Peace, as God embrace you with His Grace

I am so very sorry to hear about the death of your mother. Shirley was a special friend to me. We shared so many special moments during my stay in South Carolina. I was so pride to have her for my friend. We worked together for many years. I appreciate her for being my friend through some difficult times we shared. My heart is broken with sadness over your mother's transition. We know that she is in a much better place, no more heartaches, disappointments, or pain. Meekie, you know that your mother loved you unconditionally, cherish the memories and all the good times, for your mother now lives in your heart. Be strong and know that God is to wise to make a mistake, He loves you, He will never leave you or forsake you, at times like this He is your comforter.
