I can't believe this time has come, knowing for months it could come but staying hopeful it wouldn't come to pass so quickly. Mike We Gonna miss you is a understatement. Ive been reflecting on many great laughs and moments to keep from crying. I just loved the way you could always 'calm' the bear in my dear sister Angie. We had a way with her only WE understand. You are her best friend and no-one including me could ever fill your shoes. You brought so much to this once broken woman. You loved her so much unconditional. I know you held on for her...but God said it was time to go. My sister's broken yet again. But through your calm swift demeanor through the winds..I pray we get her out her funk and on to more productive things sooner than later. So glad God saw fit to keep you here and home for the holidays surrounded by loved ones. Your one of a kind and will never be forgotten. I love you guys. As the saying goes weepin endures for the night..But next it's time to Celebrate Mikes Grand Life!! Well Done my friend Well Done...Xo

Mr. Mike, I can hear you saying Hi Ms. Van, how are you doing? So many memories from the time you first started dating Angie to a few days ago. Even though I won’t be able to know how you feel about things or hear your opinions on others I will still have great memories of you. I was so glad I was able to tell you how good you looked the last time I saw you. I don’t like the word death, it sounds final and you are living. A living memory as a father, a friend, and a husband. Your sons and your son-in-law‘s appreciate how you lived showing them how to cherish protect and care for their wives and families like a real man. You didn’t speak it you showed it. Then as a friend you are one of the warmest, calmest, collective, compassionate and caring person‘s known. My selfish nature wants you Mr. Mike by Angie side always. But the Bible lets me know differently so now I can rejoice knowing “ be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” And I know that to be true because Angie told me you left her peacefully. We love you And will miss you I am glad i knew you. Mr. Mike R. I. P. Til we meet again.

We will miss you so much. Didn't expect this so soon, but it is some what comforting to know that you aren't in any more pain. I don't know how the whole after life works, but I'm glad you were able to be home, and even spend New Years with us all, Zivy included. :) Love you. And to Mom, you are the strongest person, I've ever seen, you cared for Mike so good and was strong and positive when he couldn't be. And I know it was the hardest thing to accept. Mike would want you to do all the things you wanted to do in life. All the places you still had to travel to, and memories tot make, so make your list, and do it with him. And take care of yourself too. Love you.

It always hard to say goodbye to a friend but you were more than a friend you were the brother I never had. The time we worked together on the railroad I will enjoy the memories for the rest of my life. Rest in peace my brother.

Elesia Jeffries ()

My Love and prayers goes out to the family. When we were kids, I remember the summers at Grandpa and Grandma's house, Mike was the oldest and I believe he enjoyed that role, but like most families as you grow older and the link that kept us together is no longer and you lose touch. This pass summer Mike and his wife came to the old home place and I got to see him and I will cherish that moment for ever. I never would have guessed this was going to be the last time I would get to see him. Due to my own health reasons I wasn't able to go to the memorial service but my thoughts were with you. Be strong family until you get to meet him again. God bless you from the Jeffries' family. (My mom and Mike's mom were sisters)
