Mrs. Delphine Margaret Erkens, age 72, of 9 Riverwood Court Greenville, South Carolina, a loving mother of eight and wife of Victor Erkens, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center West.  Born in Sartell, Minnesota, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Lahr.  In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Susan O'Brien (Christopher) of Texas, Amy Johns (Kevin) of Indiana; six sons, Brian Erkens (Suzanne) of Greenville, Tom Erkens (Kris) of Travelers Rest, Randy Erkens (Audra) of Greer, Mike Erkens (Michelle) of Greenville, Steven Erkens (Charity) of China Eric Erkens of Texas; nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Trinity Way Baptist Church with Reverend Dennis Holtzclaw officiating. Visitation 1-2pm prior to the service.  Entombment service will be 11:00a.m., Monday October 15, 2018 in Mountain View Memorial Park, Travelers Rest.

My parents Henry(Melda Torker)Lahr. Mike and dad are brothers. I am the youngest in the family (73) only one left of 4, Anthony, Edwin of cancer and MaryAnn who had Dementia. I remember Erkens family from many years ago with a special Fall Harvest Party. Keeping in touch with Delphine’s siblings a lot has changed. Music was a nice memory with them all. My sympathy to all the family.
